Eagles Vintage Maui
Lovebabywearing (Justyna Skulska)
Polotno Studio is new brand from Russia that has quite decisively entered into the babywearing world and market; with their own character and new ideas what happens less and less these days.
I am so glad I have had an opportunity to test and photoshoot two of their wraps, because they are searching and focusing on the details of pattern that shows their love of fabric. Which shows, definitely.
Both wraps are all-cottons but lets start with Eagles Vintage Maui. Machine woven 'grads' are more and more popular in the current wrap market but most of the brands believes the more - the better; never ending amount of colorful threads. This is how the trend has gone.
Eagles Vintage Maui takes a fresh approach to the babywearing trends we need ( ) but they are enough visual appeal with two colours that diffuses smoothly and neatly somwhere in the middle of the wrap. From the blue to lemon yellow - they do show that it is possible to blur the border between colors without any drastic jump. Kind of art of weaving, just to gladden the eyes.
The final kind of masterpiece of Polotno Studio goes to subtle vintage pattern that covers the whole wrap, looks like carved or deeply pressed in vinyl wallpapper. I like this style - it shows it is still possible to have good design even without being flashy, if you know what i mean.
Eagles Vintage Maui makes great summer wrap thanks to featherweight and colours. Would recommend to all thin wrap lovers. More to come with another Polotno Studio wrap review, stay tuned.
