Symphony Winter Daydream
I was pleased to test new Polotno wrap!
We got used to jacquard wraps that have clear regular pattern. This Polotno does not look like this. It has an unusual design. Though the colors have nothing to do with the seawater, it reminds me of an ocean. The waves break forth and go back. Again and again. If a surrealist painter decided to paint an ocean, it would probably look like this. The colors get mixed creating an effect of shining metal. And you are absolutely fascinated by its sparkles and glow…
Here I have to remind myself that it is not only a piece of art but also a wrap! The tester is the size 5 measuring 4,75 m that is actually longer than usual size 6. I measured the density and got 285 gsm.
As for the wrapping qualities, I really love it! It is thick but mouldable. It is very soft and comfortable for shoulders. And it provides great support! I spent all the summer in thin handwovens with my 13 kg daughter. Now it is a revelation for me to feel the embrace that is both tender and strong. I was surprised to find myself wearing in one layer. I did not do that for almost a year.
I thought it would be too warm for me, because I easily get hot and prefer thin wraps on the whole. However, I was comfortable in the end of August when the temperature was about 25 degrees centigrade.
I would definitely recommend this wrap for toddlers. It carries 13 kg in one layer and does not get loose easily. The colors will be great for autumn and winter when you prefer to have something nonspottable. However they are quite bright to appeal to the eye.
I would miss this unusual beauty! It was a pleasure to wear and to look at. And it was intriguing to think about. The manufacturer keeps its name secret. Can we solve this puzzle? What do you think about this wrap? What it looks like?
